Can I add a file that is uploaded to the form that is generated?
For example if a user uploads another PDF file or Excel File can that just be added to the end of the form.

Hi natedixon,
While you cannot directly append an uploaded file, such as a PDF or Excel file to the end of the generated form PDF, you can still provide access to those files in a couple of ways. First, you can add a clickable link to the uploaded on your form's Thank You Page by inserting a hyperlink to the file stored on a file-sharing platform. Make sure that the file access is set to public, so users can download it. Let me show you how:
- In Smart PDF Forms, click on the Settings tab in the blue navigation bar and select the Thank You Page tab on the left side panel.
- Then, setup your Hyperlink File in the Thank You Page.
- Click on the Settings tab in the navigation bar and select the Emails tab on the left side menu.
- Now, click on the Pencil icon of the Notification Email, go to the Advanced tab and toggle on the Send File Uploads as Attachments option.
- Then, click on the Save button to apply changes.

In Jotform, the uploaded file itself can’t be automatically merged into the generated form response. The form will include the file upload field with a link to download the PDF or Excel file, but it won’t be physically added at the end of the generated PDF form.

Yes, uploaded files(PDF, Excel, images, etc.) can be collected through your form and attached to the submission, but they won’t automatically get merged or appended to the end of the generated form/PDF. By default, Jotform stores uploads as separate downloadable files linked in the submission or notification email. If you want them combined into one PDF, you’d need to use Jotform’s PDF Editor or an integration (like Zapier, Integromat/Make, or third-party PDF merge tools) to automatically merge the uploaded file with the submission PDF after the form is submitted.
