AI Agent: How to have AI Agent fill out a prefilled form using query string syntax?

I'm working on a POC in which I am going to have end users populate a form via an AI agent. However, one of the fields I have will vary based on the person filling it out and the survey-taker will not know this value.

Using the form URL, I can pre-populate this value using the query string (i.e. ?fieldName=fieldValue) syntax. However, is there any way to present a pre-filled form via AI agent so this value is already populated?

Thanks for reaching out to us for help. Currently, it is not possible for the AI Agent to directly fill out a pre-filled form using query string parameters. As a workaround, you can set up conditions within your form to populate the specific field based on the user's selections. Here’s how to do it:

1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
2. Click on Conditions on the left of the page.
3. Now, click on Add a New Condition and then click on Update/Calculate Field.
4. Set up the conditions as you see below and click on Save. Create conditions that populate the desired field with the appropriate value depending on the user's answers or selections in other fields.

This method allows you to dynamically fill the field without requiring the survey-taker to know the value beforehand or rely on URL parameters. Check out the screencast below for the results:

Additionally, you can easily Create an AI Agent and Connect it to an Existing Form. Let me show you how:

1. On your My Forms page, hover your mouse over the form you want to connect to the AI Agent and click on More.
2. Now, in the Dropdown menu, click on Create Agent under the Publish column and that’s it.

Once you click on Create Agent, you’ll be automatically directed to AI Agent Builder, where you can customize it the way you want to. 

While the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers.
