I'm encountering some difficulties with an API key I created to integrate a form into HotCrp. The system is returning an "unauthorized user" error and isn't loading the form questions.
Last year, we successfully created and used an API key for the 2024 form, but the same process isn't working for the 2025 form.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like to schedule a meeting to discuss this further.
Best,
Sheila

Hi Sheila,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.
It seems the "unauthorized user" error with your API key integration for the 2025 form may be related to permission settings or API key usage. Please ensure that the API key you created has the correct permissions (Read Access or Full Access) and that it is properly linked to the 2025 form. Also, check if you have reached any daily API call limits that might affect the integration.
Here’s how to troubleshoot:
Verify the API key permissions in your Account API settings.
Confirm the API key is used with the correct form (2025 form) and not the 2024 form.
Check your daily API call usage to ensure you haven’t exceeded limits.
If you need further assistance or have questions, please let me know.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
Best regards, Jotform Support

Hi Sheila,
Can you try generating a new API key and using it instead? We have a guide on How to Create Jotform API Keys that you can check. Once done, test this and check if the issue happens again.
If the issue persists, can you take a screenshot of what’s happening? That'll help us to understand better what’s going on. Let me show you how to post a screenshot to our Help Center:
1. On the Help Centerpage, scroll down to the Your Answer section and click on the Image icon.
2. Drag and drop your image into the Upload box, or click on it and select your file.
3. Then, click on the Add button in the bottom-right corner of the window.
4. To resize it, click on your screenshot and then click on one of the boxes in the corners, and drag it inward.
5. Once you're finished, click on the Post Answer button at the bottom right of the Your Answer section.
That's it. Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

Hi Sheila,
Based on your screenshot, you're encountering the error due to the following reasons. First, the correct format of the API should be the one below:
Second, I checked the ID's you added on the {formID} part, and it's not an existing form. I suggest rechecking if you have the correct form ID by simply copying the numbers on the form link. See the sample below:
https://form.jotform.com/{FormID}
Keep us updated and let us know if you need any more help.
I see that you have an Enterprise account, which means that we have a dedicated Enterprise Support Team to help you. We have a guide that explains How to Contact Enterprise Support Team. Create a ticket there and someone from the Enterprise Support Team will get in touch with you shortly.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.
