Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. While Jotform's AI Agent does include an API section, it's currently designed for configuring how the agent connects with your external systems, not for training the agent through the OpenAI ChatGPT API or similar tools. At this time, you can't train or update the Jotform AI Agent using the ChatGPT API or any external AI APIs. All training and customization must still be done through the AI Builder interface, where you can add knowledge sources like URLs, PDFs, Q&A pairs, and documents. The API settings section is mainly used if your AI Agent needs to fetch real-time data from your API to enhance its responses during a conversation, e.g., checking order status or looking up customer details from your system.
While the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
