Multiple text fields widget: Invalid widget configuration error message.

I am creating a form and would like to use the "Multiple Text Fields" widget. However, the widget displays as "Invalid widget configuration" on my form. Rarely, the multiple text fields would display properly on my form in the Form Builders, but previewing my form causes them to display the invalid message.

    Hi Cesar,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

The "Invalid widget configuration" message for the Multiple Text Fields widget usually indicates an issue with its setup. To resolve this, please try the following steps:

    1. Remove the widget from your form.
    2. Re-add the Multiple Text Fields widget.
    3. Configure the widget fields carefully, ensuring all required settings are properly filled.
    4. Save your form and preview it again.

If the problem persists, clearing your browser cache or trying a different browser might help.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Best regards,
    Jotform Support

    Hi Cesar,

I cloned your form and tested it to see if I could replicate the issue, but everything was working properly. Check out the screenshot below to see my results:

As an additional measure, I have cleared your form cache. This is a quick and safe method to troubleshoot or refresh your forms. Clearing the form cache can also be done on your end. Here’s how to do it:

    1. On your My Workspace page, click on your Avatar/Profile Image icon.

    2. In the dropdown menu, click on Settings.

    3. In the Settings menu, click on Clear Cache. And that's it, you're done.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any other help.

    James:

Thank you for the quick response. I've done the "Clear Cache" option in my setting but the widgets still display the "Invalid widget configuration" error. I had also tried clearing my browser's cache and resetting up but still getting the same error.

    Hi Cesar,

When I access your form, I'm unable to get the Invalid widget configuration error message. Check out the screenshot below to see my results:

Can you try using a different browser or in the Private/Incognito mode of the browser? If the issue continues, I suggest deleting the current Multiple Text Fields widget and creating a new one.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    James:

Sorry for the late reply. Going into incognito mode and re-adding the Multiple Text Fields widget still displayed the "Invalid widget configuration" error.

However, I was able to get the forms to display properly by going onto Firefox and Opera. It seems that the "Invalid widget configuration" error only shows up when I try to access the form on either Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.Multiple text fields widget: Invalid widget configuration error message Screenshot 50Multiple text fields widget: Invalid widget configuration error message Screenshot 61Multiple text fields widget: Invalid widget configuration error message Screenshot 72Multiple text fields widget: Invalid widget configuration error message Screenshot 83

    Hi Cesar,

I have checked your form on both Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser and it is working fine. Can you make sure that the JavaScript on the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser are enabled? For Chrome, you can check this guide on How to Allow JavaScript in your browser and for Microsoft Edge, here is the link to their guide. Can you try it again and see how it goes? If you run into the same issue again, let us know, and we'll do some more testing to see what's going on.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
