Hi Daniel,
I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.
To set a new access code for your form, you cannot simply unencrypt and reencrypt if the system says you already have one. Instead, you need to recover or manage your current access code through the form settings.
Let me walk you through it:
- Go to My Forms and select the form you created.
- Click on More Options and choose Form Settings.
- Look for the Access Code or Encryption settings to manage or reset your access code.
If you still cannot reset it, please provide more details about the error message or issue you encounter.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hi Daniel,
To change your access code, you need to turn off the Encrypt Form Data feature first. Here’s how:
- Go to Form Builder and click Settings on the top orange bar.
- Under Form Settings, turn OFF the Encrypt Form Data option.
- Then, enable form encryption again and set a new access code.
Note that changing the access code will only apply to new submissions, and you won’t be able to access previous encrypted submissions with the new code.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hi Daniel,
Once you have created an Access Code, it is not possible to create a new one. I would suggest cloning the concern form so that you can set a new Access Code. Here's how to do it:
1. In Workspace, click on the concerned form to select.
2. On the right side of the selected Form, click on More.
3. On the Dropdown menu, click on Clone.
We also have a guide about How to Clone an Existing Form From Your Account that you can check out.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

will the cloned form have the same URL? if not, is there any way to do that?

i basically already circulated the URL for the form I cannot access and now because I dont have the code I cant access it in any way. id like to take the URL from the old form and apply it to the cloned one.

Hi Daniel,
When a form is cloned, it generates a new, unique UR. It won’t share the same URL as the original. This ensures that the original and cloned forms are treated as separate entities.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to assign the original form’s URL to a cloned version.
Reach out again if there’s anything else we can help you with.
