Hello,
I'm switching over to Square from Stripe and I'm trying to do a test charge with Square but it doesn't seem to be charging.
I'm using the form https://form.jotform.com/252177707070153
The test amount is $5.
Please help.

Hi Jay,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.
Regarding your issue with Square integration not processing the $5 test charge on your form, here are some key points to check:
- Ensure your Square account is properly connected in the Payment Settings of your form and the connection is successful (the Connect button turns green).
- Verify that you have selected the correct Business Location registered with Square in your integration settings.
- Make sure your Square account is fully activated and verified to accept payments.
- Check that your form's payment mode is set correctly (Test Mode for sandbox testing or Live Mode for real payments).
- Confirm that pop-ups are allowed in your browser as Square integration requires pop-up permissions for connection.
If these are all set correctly, try disconnecting and reconnecting your Square integration to refresh the connection.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hi Jay,
I cloned your form and tried to replicate the issue, but everything worked the way it should. Can you try to remove your Product List field and set up the Square integration again?
- In Form Builder, click on the Trash Can icon right next to your Product List field.
- Click on Add Element on the left side of the page, under the Basic tab, add the Product List into your form and set up your product.
- Click on the X icon in the top-right corner of the page to exit from the Product List.
- Then, click on the Credit Card icon right next to your Product List field and click on Add Payment Connection.
- Find your Square Account Connection and click on Use.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

I was initially testing Square with Pay in Full packages. I was using $0.00 as the Price but enabling First Payment as the TOTAL amount $5.00. That $5 dollars was not charged.
I tried testing as a regular monthly subscription and it was charged.
If you have any ideas on how I can charge packages with a subscription and packages as a one-time payment... it would be greatly appreciated.
You can take a look at other examples that i used in the past on this page (using stripe): https://form.jotform.com/231295769202156

Hi Jay,
Regarding your question about charging packages with both subscription and one-time payments, Square integration supports selling subscriptions and one-time payments, but these are handled separately within the payment setup.
For subscriptions, you should set the Payment Type to Sell Subscriptions and configure your subscription items accordingly.
For one-time payments, you can set up products or packages with fixed prices in the Product List field and set the Payment Type to Sell Products.
Unfortunately, combining a subscription and a one-time payment in a single transaction or package such as setting $0.00 as the product price and $5 as the first payment is not supported directly in Square integration.
To achieve both subscription and one-time charges, you may need to create separate forms, one for the subscription and one for the one-time package payment.
Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.
