Hi support team,
I'm hoping to build a form for students to track degree progress. Is it possible to simply update a previously submitted form with the previous' years input? Currently, students have to re-enter their information for every category each time they fill it out at the end of the year. We use these in annual reviews, and often need to move things around, so being able to have data saved and moved around is important. Is that function available in Jotform?
Thanks,
Erika

Hi Erika,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.
Jotform allows users to update their previous submissions, which is ideal for your use case of tracking degree progress annually. You can enable this by sending an edit link to students in the autoresponder email, allowing them to update their entries without re-entering all information.
Additionally, you can edit submissions directly in Jotform Tables, either inline or by opening the entry in edit mode and resubmitting. This way, you can move or adjust data as needed for annual reviews.
Let me know if you want steps on how to set this up.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
Best regards,

Hi Erika,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. You can easily set up an Autoresponder Email, enabling people to edit their submission later. It's easy, let's do it:
1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
2. In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Emails.
3. Hover your mouse over your Autoresponder and click on the Pencil icon to customize it.
4. Click on the Email Content window, then click on Form Fields, and select Edit Link.
5. Customize the Edit Link the way you want, and when you're finished, click on Save on the bottom-right side of the Email Content window.
After submitting the form, submitters will receive an email like the one below. Once they click on it, they'll be able to edit their submission:
