when I create a table entry, can I then generate a pre-filled link to send to a client (rather than having to click publish, select table entry etc)

Hi Martin,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Let me help you with that:
You can use Jotform's Tables Prefill feature to generate pre-filled links more easily. Here's how:
- In Form Builder, go to Publish at the top.
- Select Prefill on the left, then choose Tables Prefill.
- Choose your source table and map columns to form fields, then save settings.
- Add a new prefill by selecting entries and creating the prefilled URLs.
You can then copy and share these prefilled URLs directly with your clients without going through the publish and table entry selection steps each time.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
Best regards,

Hi Martin,
At the moment, the easiest method to generate a pre-filled link from your table entry is by using the Table Prefill feature. If you have an Excel sheet with data, we have a Spreadsheet to Form Widget that you can use to import your data. Let me show you how to use it:
1. Create a spreadsheet with your data structured like you see below. Make sure that the column names in the spreadsheet match the field names on the form, and include a unique column, like an ID, so the data can be distinguished.
2. In Form Builder, click on the Add Element menu on the left side of the page.
3. Click on the Widgets tab, search for the Spreadsheet to Form widget and add it to your form.
4. In the menu on the right side of the page, upload your data file. (You can simply drag & drop your excel file to the Upload File area.)
5. Then, click on the Downward Arrow icon in the Access Code Column option and select the unique column.
6. You can also customize texts used in the widget. After you complete everything, click on the Update Widget button at the bottom right of the menu.

Hi Martin,
It's easy to use the Table Prefill feature. Let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, click on Settings in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page.
- Go to Prefill in the left menu.
- Click on Tables Prefill.
- Click on the Dropdown menu under the Select a Table section to select the table from which to get the data.
- Map your fields under the Match Your Fields section.
- To add more fields, click on the Add More option.
- Click the Save Settings once done.
- Click on Add a New Prefill button.
- Select the submission data by checking the checkbox for it on the left side of the screen.
- Click on the Create button at the top right once done.
Check out the screencast below to see my results:
Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

Hi,
Thanks for the detailed reply. This is actually already how I am creating these pre-fills. I just wondered if there was a quicker way (ie when I complete an entry in a table, just a button there and then to create a pre-fill link, rather than clicking through all these steps)..

Hi Martin,
The suggestion provided by my colleague regarding the Tables Prefill feature remains the best option currently available for generating pre-filled links from table entries. This method allows you to map your table data to form fields and create pre-filled URLs that you can share with your clients efficiently.
Another option you might consider is using the Field Prepopulator tool, which can generate form prefill links directly. You can access this tool here. This tool allows you to prepopulate form fields by appending data to the form URL, which can be a quicker way to create pre-filled links if you have the data ready.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
