I have built a PDF and when I go to the PDF editor, it tries to split my tables on to a second page. While this is a new problem for this form, when I change the margins such that the table is not split across two pages, it seems to work. However, those changes are not saved so I have to change the margins everytime I want to preview my pdf or down load it. What could be the problem?
The image is what I see when I adjust the margins TOP and BOTTOM. This is what I'd like to see consistently. Unfortunately, I have to adjust these margins every time. -

Hi James,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Currently, when you adjust the top and bottom margins in the PDF editor to prevent the table from splitting, those margin settings are not saved permanently, which is why you need to change them every time you preview or download the PDF. Just to provide some quick information, the table splitting also happens due to the content of the submission. Take a look at the screenshots below to see my results:
Screenshot 1 shows the PDF Editor with fewer submission data entries compared to Screenshot 2.
Screenshot 2 shows the PDF Editor with more submission data compared to Screenshot 1.
As a workaround, you can consider inserting page breaks, as this can help control where tables split across pages. Let me show you how:
- In PDF Editor, click on Add Element button.
- On the right-hand side of the page, under Basic Elements, click on and drag the Page Break element into the PDF template.
Check out the screencast below to see my results:
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
