Hi Holly,
Thanks for reaching out to us regarding the issue with the contract you signed. I understand that you were told to sign something to get your car fixed through insurance, but it turned out to be a lawyer contract for representation, which was not what you were informed about. You also mentioned that the person misrepresented themselves as being from Geico.
Unfortunately, Online Form Builders, including Jotform, are sometimes used for identity theft and we go to great lengths to prevent this. Our phishing detector will automatically flag forms like this and suspend the account or our staff can do it manually.
Since this situation involves a potentially fraudulent contract and misrepresentation, it is important to address it carefully. If you believe this form or contract was used in a scam or fraudulent manner, you can report it through Jotform's Abuse Report page.
Here are some guidelines to help you avoid scams:
- Never fill out a form from an anonymous contact, an unknown organization, or a company with no website or legitimate presence.
- Never pay money to get employment
- Never provide critical information such as your SSN, banking information, or driver’s license numbers or pictures to such suspicious contacts.
Reach out again if you have any other questions or if there is anything else we can help you with.
