Assign Form Sections To Different People

    Hello

I uploaded a PDF of a form we created. It worked well and even imported the dropdown options for each section.

I need to assign the lion's share of the form to the employee who is requesting the time off. However, I then need to route the form to their supervisor for their approval and then to their Team Leader for their approval. Once they have approved the request, I need to send it to our Dir. of HR.

Do you have a way of assigning sections to individuals?

    Thanks

P.S. Currently I only see where I assign to the requestor to complete the request, then once I get it back manually assign each person who needs to approve the request.

    thanks

    Robin

    Hi Robin,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Are you referring to this form? If yes, can you clarify what you meant by assigning sections? Did you mean that the supervisor should edit the employee's submission in order to fill out his part, then the team leader can also fill out the same submission after the supervisor edited it, is that right? If yes, this option is not possible with Workflows alone. We could use Conditional Logic to show or hide certain fields depending on the role selected by the form filler.

I've come up with a Demo Form, which you can test to see if it works for you. On my Demo Form, I modified the form itself, as well as the Workflow that you started setting up. Check out the screencast below:

    1. On your My Workspace page, click on Create on the top-left side of the page.

    2. Select Form from the assets, and then click on Import Form.

    3. In the next window, click on From a Web Page

    4. Paste the form link into the Enter URL field and click on Create Form.

If this setup works to meet your needs, let us know, and we'll guide you how I set it up. But if that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?

Give it a try and let us know if you have questions.
