I've created a form and have got 4 submissions in a table as a result. I would like to be able to have the responses show up in a report that sorts the answers, like this:
- (first question)
- answer a
- answer b
- answer c
- answer d
- (second question)
- answer a
- answer b
- etc.
I don't need to have the outline format (a. b. c.) -- just the answers. Thanks!
Not sure if you can see it, but I'm providing a link to my table so you see what I mean.

Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.
To create a PDF report that sorts your form responses by category or question without the outline format, you can use Jotform's PDF Editor. By default, the PDF Editor populates the PDF with question-and-answer pairs from your form submissions.
Here’s how to customize your PDF report:
- Open PDF Editor from your form's options.
- Add form fields to the PDF document by selecting them from the Form Fields section.
- Arrange the fields in the order you want the answers to appear, grouping them by question as needed.
- Customize the layout to remove any numbering or outline format, so only the answers show.
This way, you can have a clean report showing answers grouped by each question without extra formatting.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

So I see how to use the form fields i want for a single form, but how do I compile the responses from several form submissions into a single pdf?

Hi Jennifer,
To compile responses from multiple submissions into a single PDF, you can use the Combine Submissions app from Jotform. This app merges your collected data into one file after submissions are collected.
Alternatively, you can combine multiple submission tables into one form by following Jotform's guide on getting data from other forms in Jotform Tables, though combined submissions will appear on separate tabs.
These options allow you to create a consolidated PDF report with all your submissions.

Hi Jennifer,
It is not possible to download all submission data into a single PDF file. When you download all your submission data as PDF, each submission data will be saved as individual PDF files.
Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.
