I need a box where if the original number does not match the reconfirm box it errors out. Its so the user confirms their SSN.

Hi Avalos_jose,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Collecting Social Security Numbers (SSN) is allowed on Jotform, but only if best security practices are applied. This entails utilizing SSL and Encrypted Forms features to guarantee the secure handling and safeguarding of confidential data.
It is essential to recognize that Jotform prohibits the collection of specific sensitive details, including credit card information and login credentials. The form owner bears the exclusive responsibility for ensuring adherence to any pertinent data protection and privacy regulations governing the gathered sensitive information.
You'll also need to add Terms & Conditions to have the user agree to provide the sensitive information and an e-signature field.
Are the above conditions already met on your form? If yes, can you share the URL of the form you're working on? I've shared the steps to get the form's link:
- In the Form Builder, go to the Publish tab.
- Under the Quick Share, click the Copy Link button below the form's link.
- Then share the form's URL through this support ticket.
Once we hear back from you, we’ll provide more help.

Hi Jose,
To match your SSN fields on your form before users can submit, we need to add a condition and a Paragraph field that will show the message that they're not matched. Let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, click on Add Element then add a Paragraph field to your form.
- Click on Pencil icon to add the text.
- Then, click on Gear icon then go to Advanced tab and enable the Hide Field option.
- In Form Builder, click on Settings on the orange navigation bar.
- Then, click on Conditions on the left panel.
- After that, click on Add Condition and select Show/Hide a Field condition.
4. Setup the condition below:
Here's what it'll look like:
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
