I need to be able to copy the selected answer to the other cell. I know how to move an assigned numerical value for th sanswer, whilst I need to reflect the answer itself, not the assigned numerical value.

Hello inspektor.praci,
Thank you for reaching out to Jotform Support. If I understood it correctly, you want to be able to copy the string value of the field to another field and not the set calculation values? If so, you may need to duplicate that field to get a string value since the condition, by default, captures the calculation value if the single choice element have this enabled.
Let me show you the possible workaround:
- In the Form Builder, click on one of your Single Choice Element and then click on the Gear Icon to open the Properties.
- Once the right panel opens, click on the Duplicate Button under General Tab to duplicate that Single Choice Element.
- Once duplicated, click on the duplicated field and remove the Calculation Values by going to its properties and deleting it one by one.
After you have duplicated your Single Choice Element, you can add a Short Text Field Element where the value of the duplicated field will be reflecting. Let me show you how:
- While in Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page.
- In the Form Elements menu, under the Basic tab, scroll down the list and choose the Short Text field.
- Now, just drag and drop it to your form. I suggest you rename the duplicated field and the Short Text Field so you'd be able to identify which field to use later on for the condition.
Now for the conditions, here's how to do it:
- In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
- Click on Conditions on the left of the page.
- Now, click on Add a New Condition and then click on Update/Calculate Field.
- Set the conditions like you see below and click on Save:
Here is a result of my cloned form:

Thank you Myla, this is great - whilst I had smth diffferent in mind. I woudl like to pull a response option selected and relect it on a different page, e.g. within a text block. I am struggling wiht that, as I keep pulling the numericla value assigned to that response optin instead.

Hi inspektor.praci,
Can you share more details of how you'd like the use case to work? You've mentioned that you'd like to pull a response on the selected option, and show it on a different page. Can you capture screenshots of which parts of the form you're working on this? We’ve got a guide here explaining how to do that.
I tried to look for a workaround in getting the Calculation Value and the text of the selected option in the Single Choice and Multiple Choice form fields. However, the workaround of my teammate is the only option that we can work from.
We’ll provide more help as soon as we receive your response.
