I'm wondering why I'm getting charged GST and PST on USD billing?

Hi there. I'm wondering why I'm getting charged GST and PST on USD billing? If it was Canadian funds, yes but it shouldn't if I'm being billed in USD🤔

Keep in mind that, even if you are billed in USD, Canadian GST and PST taxes can still apply based on your billing address in Canada due to tax regulations. You are charged GST (Goods and Services Tax) and PST (Provincial Sales Tax) from Canada because Jotform applies applicable taxes based on your billing address to comply with Canadian tax regulations. These taxes are added to the payment for services purchased from Jotform when the billing address is in Canada. If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?

Thanks for your reply. I have never been charged Canadian taxes when billed by American companies in American funds. Nor do I get charged Canadian taxes by British companies when billed in GBP. And I have lots of those situations for my business. Even here in Canada, if I order something from a different province, I only get charged GST as I don't live in the province issuing the goods.

I've heard back from the relevant team. Our team said that Adyen payment processor is obligated to charge any type of tax whenever applicable. As you're located in Canada, GST and PST must be charged at the required percentage rate.
