I’m currently testing your platform and I’ve encountered a difficulty when exporting form responses to Excel.
Specifically, all responses collected through the Configurable List widget are grouped into a single cell in the Excel export. This format makes it very difficult to analyze or process the data efficiently, especially when multiple entries are involved.
Is there a way to structure the export so that each entry in the Configurable List appears in separate rows or columns for better readability and analysis?
If not, are there any recommended workarounds or alternative widgets that would allow us to collect structured, repeatable data in a more export-friendly format?

Hi Riad,
Currently, the Configurable List widget exports all entries into a single cell in Excel, which can make data analysis challenging when multiple entries are involved. Unfortunately, there isn't a direct way to export each entry into separate rows or columns within the Excel export from Jotform.
Here are some recommended workarounds and alternatives:
- You can use Excel's Text to Columns feature to split the data within the single cell into multiple columns based on delimiters.
- Consider using the Input Table widget as an alternative, which structures data in a table format and exports more cleanly into Excel.
- Another option is to use multiple fields or repeatable sections in your form design to collect structured data that exports more straightforwardly.
While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available, rest assured we’re always working to add new services and features to Jotform. I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developer Team. When or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
Let me know if you need guidance on implementing these options or have any other questions.

Thanks for your response, I tried de use Input Table but it can't be repeated like the Configurable List, I mean the user cannot duplicate the table to fill another one with another data.

Hi Riad,
The Input Table field does not support repeating or duplicating by the user like the Configurable List widget. While the Input Table allows you to add, edit, and delete rows and columns within a single table, users cannot create multiple instances of the entire table to fill out separate sets of data.
You can use Excel's Text to Columns feature to split the Configurable List data from a single cell into multiple columns based on delimiters, which helps in data analysis.
Let us know if you need any more help.

Hello,
Thank you for your response, I see the Excel's Text to Columns feature to split, but it's not that easy in the complexe situation !
For example :
And what I need to have is this :

Hi Riad,
We understand that using Excel's Text to Columns feature can be cumbersome for complex Configurable List data, especially when you want each entry to appear in separate rows or columns as shown in your example. Currently, Jotform does not support exporting Configurable List widget entries into multiple rows or columns automatically in Excel. The Configurable List data is exported as a single cell containing all entries, which limits direct analysis in Excel.
We appreciate your feedback and have escalated this feature request to our Developer Team for consideration in future updates. Meanwhile, if you need assistance with any of the suggested workarounds or have other questions, please let us know.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
