How can I grade my Jotform quiz?

Hello!

I have a true/false quiz with 10 questions that I would like to grade. I have added conditional logic to the form to hopefully assign each correct answer a value of 1. I then have a hidden calculation field at the bottom of my quiz that will ideally display the total that each participant answered correctly. At the moment when testing the form, the values are not currently being added together, it just displays 1.

If there is a better way to add grading into the form, like displaying score, which ones they answered correctly, or showing a percentage, I would love to know!

Hi Kara,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. We have a Quiz Form feature that turns your form into a quiz or exam, making grading and displaying results easier. Let me show you how:

1. Go to the Quiz Form page, and click on the Open Quiz Form button.

2. In the window that pops up, click on Allow, select the form you want to turn into a quiz, and then click on the Continue button in the top-right corner of the Form Picker window.

3. Click on the Cross icon to close Form Picker, then in the Options section, click on Checkbox next to Email Results to and enter the email address and subject.

4. Then, click on Checkbox next to the Show Results to User After Submission option.

5. Now, scroll down, select the correct answers for your quiz, and click on Save Quiz at the bottom left of the page and that's it.

Now, when someone finishes your quiz and submits the form, they will see their results. Check out an example below to see how it'll look:

You'll also receive an email as the form owner. Check out an example of the email below:

If you want to change the email content, check the Use Custom Email Page box and customize it as you like.

Thank you for the reply. I followed this steps, but encountered an issue with inputting the quiz answers. For whatever reason, the quiz form is only displaying the first two questions of the quiz with no ability to scroll down or progress to other questions. Thus, it is only allowing me to input an answer for the person’s full name and date who is completing the quiz.

Is there a way that I can access the rest of my form to input the correct answers? The questions I am using are set in the form as “yes/no questions.”

Hi Kara,

I cloned your form to test it, and I easily replicated the issue. There is an easy fix for this, we just need to replace the Yes/No questions with Single Choice fields to properly show in the Quiz App. But, I recommend not deleting the existing fields to avoid losing data, we'll just hide them. Let me show you how:

1. In Form Builder, select the Yes/No question and click on the Gear icon to open Properties.
2. Under the Advanced tab, toggle the Hide field option to the On position.

Repeat the steps for the rest of the Yes/No questions. Now, let's add Single Choice fields for each question. Here's how:

1. In Form Builder, click on the Add Element menu on the left side of the page.
2. Drag and drop the Single Choice field to the form.
3. Then, click on the Gear icon to open Properties and configure the field.

Repeat the steps for all your Yes/No questions. Take a look at the screenshot below to see my results:
