Hi -
I have a form that is signed by a customer and then is sent for approval. The approver then actions the form and either approves, denies - with comments, or asks for more info - with comments.
I need to preserve the date, IP and ID information from the original submission:
If the approver takes action, wll it reset this information? If it does, is there a way to preserve it? We need it for the signer but don't want it to update when the approver takes action. We can't use jotform sign as it won't allow the approver action.

Hi Darcie,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I tested it on my end, and it seems that the Submission IP and ID did not change. Check out the image below:
Before Approval
After Approval
This is because the Submission IP is the IP address of the submitter so it will not change regardless if the approver will approve or deny. Also, the submission ID is unique for each submission so this will not change as well.
In Jotform, the Submission ID is a unique, automatically generated number that identifies each form submission. The Submission IP is the IP address of the device used by the respondent to submit the form.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
