Feature Reques: How to change field type per row and not column?

Why can't I change by row instead of column!!! Ugh this is so frustrating.

I have two clients (two columns) and a LOT of data to collect. Changing the row types would be so much more valuable for me than changing the column types. Please enable this!

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, the flexibility to change row types independently like columns is not available on the Input Table Element. The system is designed to manage input types per column to keep data consistent across rows.

If you have a lot of data for two clients (columns), you might consider organizing your form or table differently, such as using multiple forms or tables, or restructuring your data layout to better fit the column-based input type system.

I completely understand the way the form table is designed is restricted and I did manage to work around it in the end.

That said, my form is definitely not as user friendly as it would have been if there was another version of the input table element with dynamic row type rather than dynamic column type. -I understand it would need to be built out as another form element entirely separate to the current table but it would have really streamlined my form and so if it can be considered for future updates, it would be a very useful addition.

I'm sure there are a lot of use cases for finances, insurance etc where you're dealing with couples and need to collect a lot of information for each.

Just a suggestion but I'd be thrilled if something came of it!

While the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers.
