Account issue: Upload Space Overlimit

Asked on May 14, 2025 at 7:22 PM

Hi, we have deleted all submissions up until the May 1st, however the upload limit has not reset.
Can you please adjust so that we can continue using our account?

There is nothing in the Trash folder to "Purge" or "Delete Forever" as is recommended by your help section/AI bot so we are at a loss of how to fix ourselves.

    Thanks for your assistance.

    Hi IndianOcean,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Upon checking, your Upload Space limit still shows at 10.04 GB / 10.00 GB. Make sure that all deleted submissions are permanently deleted in your Submission Tables. I can look into this for you. I’ll just need access to your account to do that. Don't worry, you can disable that again after we're done checking things out. Let me show you how to do it:

    1. In the upper-right corner of your My Forms page, click on your Avatar/Profile Image icon.

    2. In the small window that opens, click on Settings.

    3. In the panel on the left, click on the Security tab.

    4. Then, on the bottom-right side of the page, toggle Jotform Support Access to the On position.

After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.

    Hi IndianOcean,

I checked your forms and noticed the same have still uploaded images included as you can see in the screenshot below:

I suggest deleting submissions/uploads because the reach upload space is about the attachments of the form responses. Let me show you how:

    1. Go to My Tables and select the table where you want to delete form responses or uploads.
    2. Click on View table.

Deleted Uploads have been purged but it shows still upload space almost reached Image 2 Screenshot 71 Screenshot 30 Screenshot 30 Screenshot 51To delete a single entry, proceed as follows:

    1. Open the menu of the entry via the three-dot symbol in the first column of the table.
    2. Select Move to trash in the menu.

    3. Confirm that you would like to delete the entry.

Form response upload limit reached Image 3 Screenshot 82 Screenshot 93 Screenshot 52 Screenshot 52 Screenshot 73If you want to remove form responses from the trash:

    1. Open the Main Tab menu using the icon with the three-dot symbol next to it.
    2. Click the Trashed Entries menu and in the Trash area on the right, select the submissions you would like to delete and then select Delete Forever.
    3. Finally, select Delete in the confirmation dialog.

Account issue: Upload Space Overlimit Image 2 Screenshot 84 Form responses are stored in the Trash for 30 days and are still counting as form submissions. Also, this allows you to restore the submissions if needed. You can also delete multiple entries at once. Here we have a tutorial: How to delete form submission data that you are welcome to view.

If you only would like to delete the upload, proceed as follows. In the table, you will now see all form responses that contain uploads. You can now delete the entire form response as described above, or just the upload.

    1. In a form response, click in the column where the upload is.
    2. You can now download the upload and also remove it if you click on the trash icon.
    3. Confirm that you really would like to delete the upload.

Account issue: Upload Space Overlimit Image 3 Screenshot 95 Also, I would recommend that you download from responses first so that you have a backup. This guide How to Download the Submission Files explains how to do this. A wide guide that may be of interest to you: Understanding Your Account Usage and Limits.

I have just reactivated your account, so you will be able to implement the above recommendations.

Give it a try and let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you so much - I think that was exactly the issue - I believe we were looking in the wrong Trash location.

We are now able to use the account as normal again :)
