I have been working for days on my Stripe Checkout Form for my website but can't get the Condition Logic, State and County Sales and Use Tax charges and Required Entries to work correctly. I have used the AI Help continuously but can't get the settings right. Can someone call and help me?

    Hi Michael,

I reviewed your form and noticed that you're trying to calculate custom taxes based on the state and county using conditional logic. I also checked your payment settings, and you've already enabled location-based tax surcharges by county.

Note that tax calculations made outside the product list cannot be applied directly to the total payment amount. If you want to include tax amounts that are calculated separately from the product list, you'll need to switch your payment type to User Defined Amount and pass the total price from a calculation field.

Additionally, you'll need to build your product list using basic fields such as dropdowns, multiple choice field, or widgets. Let me show you how to do it with the cloned version of your form:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Add Elements menu on the left side of the page.

    2. Click on the Widgets tab and search for Inventory, then add it to your form field.

    3. In the Form Elements menu, click on the Widgets tab and add the Form Calculation widget and create the formula below, and make sure to click on the Save button.

    4. Add another Form Calculation widget to display tax and get the value from the Total Tax - NC State + County Sales and Use Tax field. Make sure to click on the Save button.

    5. Add a hidden Form Calculation widget to calculate the subtotal plus tax and add the subtotal and tax fields. Make sure to click on Save.

    6. You also need to update your conditional logic using the new subtotal or form calculation widget. See the screenshot below:

Now change your payment field into User Defined Amount and get the total price from the total field.

    1. Click on the Wand icon beside the payment field and click on the Dropdown button under Payment Type

    2. Select User Defined Amount and click on the Yes, Go Ahead button.

    3. Click on the Get Price From dropdown button and select the Total field, and click on the Save button.
