Can i set my multiple choice form to 1 entry per day?

I don't want to get any other information from the people. We are doing a contest and this is the voting round, we just want to limit 1 vote per day from the same person. I looked at the support forums but my form doesn't have a "Short text" field, since it's just voting for a picture. Please assist. Thank you!

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Currently, Jotform's Unique Field feature, which limits submissions based on a specific field's answer, is only available for Email, Short Text Entry, Dropdown, and Number fields. Since your form does not have a Short Text field and is only for voting on pictures, this feature cannot be applied directly based on a unique answer in your case.

However, you can use the Unique Submission feature to limit multiple submissions from the same person. But this does not reset per day. This feature can be set up in your form's Settings tab under the Unique Submission option. You have three choices:

• No Check - no duplicate submission check.
• Check Cookies Only - limits submissions from the same browser by checking cookies.
• Check Cookies and IP - stricter check that limits submissions from the same browser and IP address.

For your contest, you can select Check Cookies and IP to limit one vote per day per person from the same device and network. Note that this method is not perfect for limiting one vote per day exactly, but it helps prevent multiple votes from the same source. Let me show you how to set that up:

1. On your My Forms page, hover your mouse over your form and click on Edit Form on the right side of the screen.
2. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings, and then click on Show More Options.
3. In the Form Settings menu, scroll down and select Check Cookies and IP in the Unique Submission dropdown menu.

Unfortunately, Jotform does not currently have a built-in feature to limit exactly one submission per day per user without using a unique field like email or short text. If you want to explore other options, you might consider adding a Short Text field to collect some unique identifier or email address to use with the Unique Field feature, or use external tools or integrations to track submissions per day.
