Hi Nesh,
I appreciate your patience while we investigate the problem. To assist you better, could you please confirm if you are using the standard Table element or the Input Table widget? Also, ensure that the merge tags used in your email notification match exactly the field names from your table. Sometimes, tables require special handling or formatting in email templates to display data correctly.
Meanwhile, here are some general tips to try:
- Check the merge tags: Make sure the merge tags in your email template correspond exactly to the table fields.
- Use the Input Table widget: If you are using a standard table, consider switching to the Input Table widget, which is designed to work with email notifications.
- Format your email template: Sometimes, using HTML tables in the email body and inserting the merge tags inside the table cells helps maintain the structure.
Let me know how it goes or if you have any other questions.

Hi Jeric,
I am using the standard Table (as shown you'll see in the video - https://www.loom.com/share/418a399fcfe64ecd9574ae1038fb5e73).
- Merge tags: The merge tags are not matching what is in the table. When I put in merge tags that match exactly to the table fields they also don't work. See the video.
- I don't want to use the Input Table widget as that would completely miss what we are doing. I have a Jotform Table that we input data into cells and have buttons that push data to forms and also emails to send.
- I've already tried with the HTML tables and they don't work.
Could you let me know if this will be fixed or will Jotform Tables stay a minimal use spreadsheet?

Hi Nesh,
I checked out the video you shared and noticed that the Salary Review form and the Salary Review Table are two separate assets, that’s why the field IDs don’t match. For example, the form might use {newSalaryPackage}, but the Table shows a different field ID since they aren’t directly connected.
Since the form is getting its data from the Table through Prefill, you’ll need to use the matching field from the Table when setting it up, not the one from the form. For example, if you're prefilling the New Salary Package field in the email you're sending to MazzCorp, make sure to use the New Salary Package column from the Table. The field IDs maybe different, but the values will be the same. Take a look at this screenshot to see what I mean:
Give it a try and let us know if you need any more help.
