Confirmation Needed: Is My AI Agent Actually Learning From the Knowledge Base?

    Hi Jotform Support,

I hope you're doing well. I'm currently using the AI Agent Builder for my business, Keenwayˢᵐ, and I've spent a lot of time uploading detailed knowledge sources — including my website’s pages, FAQ content, blog posts, delivery policies, and custom Q&As — through the “Train” and “Knowledge Base” sections.

Despite that, my agent still struggles to answer even basic questions, like “Where do you deliver?” or “What’s the max payload?”, even though those answers are clearly available in the materials I’ve trained it with. Sometimes it gives an error or just says it doesn’t know — which creates confusion for my customers.

One thing I noticed is your example agent, “Todo AI,” replies naturally, intelligently, and contextually. That’s exactly the kind of experience I want for my customers using the Keenwayˢᵐ agent — but I’m not seeing the same performance, even though I’ve provided rich and relevant data.

    Can you please confirm:

    1. Is my agent actually learning and indexing the knowledge I’ve uploaded?
    2. Are there any specific formatting or content guidelines I should follow to improve the training results?
    3. Are there any known delays or system limitations that might prevent new content from being recognized?

I’d really appreciate some guidance so I can make sure the AI agent performs the way it’s intended. Thanks for your time — looking forward to your help.

    Best regards,

    Emmanuel Carrizo Garay

    Hi Emmanuel,

Thanks for reaching out to us regarding your AI Agent Builder experience with Keenwayˢᵐ. I understand your concerns about the agent not responding accurately despite uploading detailed knowledge sources.

Let me help you with that:

Is your agent actually learning and indexing the knowledge you uploaded?

Your AI agent does index and learn from the knowledge base you provide. However, the effectiveness depends on how the content is formatted and structured for the AI to interpret it correctly.

Formatting or content guidelines to improve training results:

Ensure that your knowledge sources are clear, well-organized, and free of ambiguous language. Use straightforward Q&A formats, bullet points, and concise sentences. Avoid overly complex or nested information that might confuse the AI. Consistency in terminology also helps the agent understand and retrieve the right answers.

    Delays or system limitations:

There can be some delays between uploading new content and the AI agent fully recognizing and integrating that information. This process may take some time depending on the volume and complexity of the data. Also, occasional system limitations or temporary errors might affect response accuracy.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
