Option to add error message if payment failed

    Hi

    My form is https://form.jotform.com/251272502133343

    I use stripe payment method (not stripe checkout)

    Problem: The form still submit even if the customer's payment fails, because of insufficient funds. The customer is directed to Thank you page and he/she thinks that form is submitted.

    How can we change this?

    I'd like when the payment fails, the form should show an error message.

    Actually when card payment is not completed due to insufficient funds:

    1. customer is redirected to Thank you page and he thinks that he paid
    2. there is no form in my list of submissions
    3. stripe is showing payment as failed

    I'd like when the payment fails, the form should show an error message.

    Hi Thanasis,

    The forms with a payment integration that have credit card fields, like Stripe, PayPal Pro, Autorize.Net, cannot be submitted if the incorrect credit card details are entered. However, if they input the correct card details and have insufficient funds they will be redirected to the Thank You page still and their submission will be marked as Incomplete Payment. That is the reason why the Submissions with failed payment is not showing on your Submission list. Let me show you how you can view the Submissions with Incomplete Payments:

    • In Tables, click on the Three Dots icon next to your form's name.
    • In the dropdown menu, click on Incomplete Payments.Option to add error message if payment failed Image 1 Screenshot 30

While the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers.
