How can i send a pdf to a different email adress depending on an answer in the form

Hi,

I am an insurance broker and i made forms to fill out quotes for customer. What i would like, is to select the broker name in a question in the form, and send the pdf to the broker's email.

Example : I make a quote for a customer and i select my name in the form question asking which broker makes the quote.

So if i select my name, i receive a pdf of the form to my professional email adress. If my colleague makes a quote and selects his name in the form, he needs to receive the pdf by email.

Would it be possible ?

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. To clarify, there will be a list of broker names, that the form filler needs to choose from, right? Let me walk you through on how to set this up:

1. First, you will need to choose and add the selection type you prefer, either Dropdown or Single-choice, setup the list of names, and add their corresponding email addresses as calculation value.

a. In Form Builder, in the left side of the page, click on the Add Element button.

b. In the left side of the page, under the Basic tab, look for the Dropdown/Single-choice element and add it to the form.

c. Then, set up the list of names they can choose from.

d. Next, click on the Dropdown/Single-choice field's Gear icon.

e. In the right panel, go to the Options tab, and enable Calculation Values.

f. Lastly, set up each Broker's name, corresponding email address.

2. After adding the dropdown/single-choice field for the list of broker names, you then need to add an email field to the form.

a. In Form Builder, in the left side of the page, click on the Add Element button.

b. In the left side of the page, under the Basic tab, look for the Email field and add it to the form.

c. Then, if you want it hidden so it won't appear on the for, you can click on the Gear icon to open its Properties.

d. Next, in the right panel, go to the Advanced tab and enable Hide field.

3. After that, we then need to create a condition to pass the email address of the selected broker, to the email address field.

a. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar, click on Settings.

b. In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Conditions.

c. Now, click on the Add Condition button, and choose Update/Calculate field condition.

d. Then, set up the condition like below, and click on Save.

With the set up above, we've made the email field's value dynamic, based on the selected broker. Here's how the result looks like if the email field is visible:

After setting up the above, you'll then need to create an Autoresponder email, using the email field that was set up as the recipient. Let me walk you through it:

1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar, click on Settings.

2. In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Emails.

3. Now, click on the Add Email button and choose Autoresponder email.

4. Next, in the Autoresponder email , go to the Recipients tab, and set up the email field that was set up as the recipient.

5. Then, go to the Advanced tab, enable Attach PDF, and select the Default document.

6. Finally, click on the Save button.
