    Hi rtbmembership,

Thanks for reaching out to us for help. I'm an AI assistant. I'll support you as best I can until one of our support agents steps in.

You asked about how to add elements in workflows and connect approval outcomes to an element in Jotform.

Let me walk you through it:

Adding and Connecting Elements in Jotform Workflows:

    1. Add elements: Use the drag-and-drop feature in the Workflow Builder to add elements to your canvas.
    2. Connect elements: Hover your mouse over an element, click and hold a dot that appears around its edges, then drag the line to another element. This flow line shows what action happens next after the previous one is completed.
    3. Alternative method: You can create a flow line first on your canvas, then drag and drop an element from the Workflow Elements menu into the placeholder.

    Connecting Approval Outcomes:

    1. Add an Approval element: In the Workflow Builder, add the Approval element to your flow.
    2. Connect outcomes: Add and connect your desired elements for each approval outcome (e.g., Approve, Deny).
    3. Assign outcomes: Select Edit in the Outcomes dialog to assign and customize each outcome.
    4. Configure properties: Click the gear icon on the Approval element to set approvers, completion rules, notification emails, and other settings.
    5. Complete your workflow: Customize further as needed and end your flow to finish the setup.

This setup allows you to control the flow after approvals and connect them to other elements in your workflow.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Best regards,

    Hi rtbmembership,

Thank you for sharing the screenshot. It looks like you are trying to connect approval outcomes to the next elements in your workflow but might be encountering some difficulty with the connection points.

Let me help you with that:

    1. Identify the connection dots: On the Approval element, you should see small dots or handles around the edges. These are the points where you can start dragging to connect to other elements.
    2. Drag from outcome dots: Specifically, for approval outcomes like "Approve" or "Deny," there should be distinct connection points associated with each outcome. Click and hold the dot next to the outcome label, then drag the line to the element you want to connect.
    3. Drop on target element: Release the mouse button when you hover over the target element to create the connection.
    4. Check for locked or disabled elements: Make sure the elements you want to connect to are not locked or disabled, as this can prevent connections.
    5. Use the Outcomes dialog: If you still have trouble, click on the Approval element and select the "Edit Outcomes" option to manage and assign outcomes properly. This can sometimes help clarify the connections.

If the connection dots are not visible or the drag action is not working, try refreshing the Workflow Builder or clearing your browser cache and try again.

Give these steps a try and let me know if you continue to face any issues.

    Best regards,

    Hi rtbmembership,

You can add a branch in the Workflow to the Approval element for the outcome. Here is an example:

    Then add the outcome:
