    Hello Support Team,

I recently deleted my previous account, but I am still receiving a notification that the email address I want to use is associated with another account. I am unable to change my primary email address because of this. Could you please assist me in resolving this issue and help me update my email address? The email address in question and should be deleted is: Tammy@stemlibrarylab.org

Once that account is deleted, I'd like to change it to the primary email address for this account.

Thank you for your help. Best regards,

    Tammy Martin

    Hi Tammy,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Keep in mind that when an account is deleted, there's a 30-day retention period before it’s permanently removed from the system. During this time, the email address stays linked to the deleted account, so it can’t be used to sign up for a new Jotform account or to update the email on another existing account.

This retention window is in place in case the original owner needs to recover their account. After 30 days, the account is permanently deleted, and the email becomes available for use again. To help you out, I’ve reinstated the deleted account so you can log back into it.

Once you're logged in, you can replace tammy@stemlibrarylab.org with any spare or temporary email address you have. This will unbind the email from the account and make it available for the use you mentioned. Just in case you're unable to log in, you can reset the password as long as you still have access to the inbox of tammy@stemlibrarylab.org for authentication. This guide will show you how to do that.

We also have a guide on How to Change Your Username and How to Change Your Account Email Address that you can check out.

Give it a try and reach out again if you have any other questions.
