Feedback about Jotform Appointments

I have been a website designer for many years, and used pretty well every calendar plugin out there, including the popular Events Calendar, which was a disaster, to now using the My Calendar plugin. Again I have had many issues but the developer has been more responsive than The Events Calendar developers. Still I have many issues, such as duplicating the locations every time you add a new event at that location. Not being able to set an "end of day" so that events that don't end until 1:00 AM, for example, don't show over two days. Difficulties with recurring events such as weekly ones that end up showing on every day. There is also no way to know when the end date has passed but the event is still going on.

Having used JotForm to create forms over the years I have faith that your new calendar might be a lot better. One issue is that I have hundreds of events and numerous locations in My Calendar now, but no other calendar plugin has any import feature. One developer says he's "working on it". Many events have tickets but My Calendar can't handle this yet. Another thing he's "working on". I have a local venue with a limited capacity and they would love to be able to sell tickets on their events with a notice when the event is sold out. Again, no plugin can handle that.

I appreciate any help you can offer.

    Hi ChecMark,

Thanks for reaching out to us for help regarding your experience with calendar plugins and your interest in Jotform's new calendar features. Jotform offers a robust appointment and scheduling system that integrates well with tools like Google Calendar, allowing you to automate event scheduling and reminders. While Jotform currently does not have a direct import feature for hundreds of events and locations from other calendar plugins, you can manage appointments effectively using Jotform's Calendar Listing reports, which display submission data in a calendar format. This can be useful for appointment scheduling and event management.

Regarding recurring events and event duration, Jotform's appointment settings allow you to customize availability, limits, and advanced options such as appointment slot duration, intervals, and time zone settings. However, some specific issues like setting an “end of day” for events that extend past midnight or complex recurring event patterns might require creative use of multiple appointment fields or workflows.

For ticket sales and event capacity, Jotform supports integration with payment gateways and allows you to set limits on the number of submissions (tickets) for an event, which can help manage venue capacity. You may try the Widget called Ticket Purchase. Also, you can use a product list with tickets as products and a payment integration.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
