File Uploads: Directly upload actual files to Monday.com files column via Jotform Integration

    Dear Jotform Support Team,

I am writing to request an enhancement to the Jotform integration with Monday.com. Currently, the integration allows sending form data to Monday.com boards and updates, but it does not support uploading the actual files submitted through Jotform forms directly into Monday.com's Files section.

Having the ability to upload files directly to Monday.com’s Files section would greatly improve workflow efficiency and file management by keeping all related documents within Monday.com itself, rather than relying on external cloud storage links.

This feature is crucial for our operations, and I believe it would benefit many other users as well. I kindly ask you to prioritize this enhancement in your development roadmap.

I've provided a screenshot of your chatbot telling me that using the files feature of Monday is not yet developed, please let me know if we could work around something without having to use external platforms like Google drive, etc.

Thank you for your attention to this request. I look forward to your positive response.

    Best regards,

    Kristian

    Hi Kristian,

Currently, the Jotform–Monday.com integration doesn’t support uploading actual files directly into Monday.com’s Files column. However, as a workaround, you can map the file upload field to a text column in Monday.com. This will allow the file’s download link to appear in the item so your team can still access it easily. Let me show you show:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.

    2. Click on Integrations in the menu on the left side of the page, search for monday.com , and click on it.

    3. Select an action (Create Item), and click Next.

    4. Enter your Monday.com API key and click Authenticate to finalize the authentication process.

Now, if authenticated successfully, let’s proceed with setting up the integration by selecting your Monday.com board and group, and mapping your form fields to the corresponding Monday.com fields.

    5. Select your Monday.com board and group, map the Monday.com fields to your form fields, then click Save to complete the setup.

However, even though we provided a workaround to map the file upload field to a text column in Monday.com, which allows the file’s download link to appear in the item, we’ve also escalated your request to support the direct and actual file uploads to Monday.com’s Files column/section. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.File Uploads: Directly upload actual files to Monday Screenshot 104
