I expect the answer to my question is hidden somewhere in you help section but just cant find it. I have a simple form https://form.jotform.com/251058211273044 which just compiles members ratings of a book. Is there a way to generate an average of these scores (for a given book) live and display it back on the form or email it to a individual. of course the form could be downloaded as an excel and the calculation done but it would be helpful if Jotform could do it.

Hi slkeenihan,
To get the live calculating average of the books in your form, you can use the scale rating element instead of the dropdown element. Also, you can create a visual report of your form and embed it to your live website. Let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, click on the +Add Element button at the upper left side of the panel to open the Form Element Menu.
- Under the Basic tab, select the Scale Rating element and add it to your form.
- Click on the Gear icon, go to the Options tab, and change the Highest Rating Value to 9.
- Go to your My Forms page and click on the Dropdown Arrow.
- Select the My Reports option in the dropdown menu.
- Click on the Create Report button at the upper left side of the panel.
- Select the Visual Report option in the Choose your report type window.
- Click on the Select a Form option.
- Then, click on the Next button.
- Select your form in the Select a Form list.
- And click on the Select Form button.
- Then, Enter a Report Name in the Input box.
- Then, select the Extended Report option and click on the Create button.
After that, you can now embed your Visual Report to your live website, you just need to copy the embed code of the report. Let me show you how:
- Hover your mouse over to the upper right side of the panel and click on the Publish button.
- Go to the Embed tab and click on the Copy Code.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Thank you for the guidance. The ability to create a live display is great but it is not calculating an average of the entries. Another issue is that the submissions for various books will get mixed up into one graph so I really need to put in some conditional logic so that only submissions for a particular book are displayed. Basically creating a report for each book. Is it possible to have do this?
