    Hi there,

I would like to build a workflow that sends approve/deny emails in the language that the recipient has chosen when submitting their form.

We will have 15 languages that a recipient can choose from when submitting their form.

How can I make this happen?

    Hi electionbuddy,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Sure, you can build a workflow that will send the Approval email based on the selected language. I can walk you through setting that up:

First, you need to add the other languages to your form which will be the basis for the conditions we will set later:

    1. Open your form in Form Builder, and in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.

    2. Click on the Show More Options button, scroll down to the Form Languages section, and click on the Edit button.

    3. In the Form Language option, click on the Downward Arrow icon and select your form's main language.

    4. Once you select it, you'll see the Translations section. Click on the Add Language button, and select the language to be translated to show users.

    5. Click on the Add button under the dropdown menu, and translate the fields that haven't been automatically translated into the target language.

    6. Then, click on the Form Warnings tab to see/edit any untranslated fields. And here you can edit the translated fields too. It'll be automatically saved when you add or edit any text.

Then you can use a Short Text field to get the form language used when filling out the form. Let's do it:

    1. On your My Forms page, hover your mouse over your form and click on Edit Form.

    2. In Form Builder, click on the Add Form Element menu and drag-drop the fields you want to use as follow-up questions (I used Short Text fields in this example).

    3. Click on the Type a Question text and change it to the question you want to use.

    4. Now, right-click on the fields, and in the menu that opens, click on Hide.

Now, let's set up the conditions:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.

    2. Click on Conditions on the left of the page.

    3. Now, click on Add a New Condition and then click on Update/Calculate Field.

    4. Set the conditions like you see below:

Next is to set up the Workflow:

    1. In Workflow Builder, click on the Add Element menu on the left side of the page.
    2. Drag a Conditional Branch to your flow and click Add Conditions.

    3. Set up your branches like this:

Then you can continue to build the flow by adding manually translated elements like an Email block based on the language selected. Check out the set-up below:

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
