Good day,
We would like to send emails from our own domain but for some reason when testing the SMTP settings, it fails even though we are pretty sure the credentials are all in order. We are using other applications to do the same and they are in working order. We use a hosted Microsoft Exchange.
Please assist.
Thanks,
Johann

Hi Johann,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. It's easy to use your Microsoft Account as your Email Sender in Jotform. Let me show you how:
1. On your Settings page, in the Sender Emails section, click on the Add Sender Email button.
2. In the window that opens, select Microsoft and click on Continue.
3. In the next window that pops up, log in to your preferred Microsoft/Outlook account, and ensure you accept permission when asked.
4. After connecting your account, click on Send Test Email in the Microsoft SMTP Configuration pop-up window to check if it’s set up correctly, then click on Save, and that's it.
Once that's done, remember to assign it to your Notification Email or Autoresponder. If you change your Microsoft/Outlook password or permissions for Jotform, this setup will no longer be valid, and you’ll need to click on the Refresh button on your Settings page:
You might also want to check out these guides about How to Use Microsoft Outlook as Sender Email via SMTP and Setting Up Email Notifications.
Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

Morning Deanne,
The setup was already done as per your reply, but testing fails as indicated previously.
If there is an error log or just more details of why it fails, then please indicate where that can be found.
Regards,
Johann

Hi Johann,
Can you send a test email on the setup and check if it works? If not, can you try removing the SMTP setup and create a new one? We have no known issues with using the Microsoft account as a sender email at this time. Once done, test the SMTP and check if this works. Can you also reach out to Microsoft Support if the emails left their servers? We don't have a log of the emails sent from different servers, since they are now handled with the SMTP you set up.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hi Jovito,
Retried the setup and it is working now.
