I have a form and have created an automation that sends out an email to our customer after they fill it out. This email is customized, with custom html code. We have been using this and it's been working, but recently changed the code. We saved the automation with the new code. the test email looks great, but when we fill out a dummy form and complete the form it sends the automation with the old code. Doesn't make any sense cause the old code is nowhere to be found. please help us out with this.

I understand you're having trouble with your email automation sending out the old HTML code despite updating it. This can be a bit puzzling, but I'm here to help! To better assist you, could you clarify which platform you're using for your form and automation? Are you using Jotform's built-in autoresponder emails or a third-party integration like Zapier or Make?

I understand that you're experiencing an issue where your Jotform autoresponder emails are sending out the old HTML code despite you having updated it. I can only imagine how frustrating that must be! Here are a few things we can check to troubleshoot this issue:

    • Clear Form Cache: Sometimes, cached data can cause unexpected behavior. Clearing your Jotform form cache might resolve the issue.
    • Review Email Settings: Double-check the email settings within Jotform to ensure the correct email template is selected and that there are no conflicting settings.
    • Revisions: Check the revisions made on the form.

If you have checked these and the issue persists, could you please provide the Form ID so I can investigate further?

I am unable to directly access URLs. Could you please provide the Form ID? You can find the Form ID in the URL. It is a string of numbers.

I understand you're still facing issues with the autoresponder emails sending the old HTML code even after clearing the cache. I have checked the knowledge base, but I am unable to find specific troubleshooting steps for this particular issue. To further investigate, I recommend the following:

    • Check the Email Content: Review the actual HTML code within the autoresponder email settings in Jotform. Ensure that the correct, updated code is present and that there are no remnants of the old code.
    • Create a New Autoresponder: As a test, create a brand new autoresponder email with the updated HTML code. Then, test the form again to see if the new autoresponder sends the correct code.
    • Check Revisions: Check the revisions made on the form to see if you can revert back.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, I recommend reaching out to our support team by creating a ticket. They will be able to look into your specific form setup and provide more tailored assistance. You can reach out to them via the Contact Us page. Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with!

    Hi TeamKohr,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Just to help us better understand the issue, could you share what specific changes were made to the HTML email content? Let us know what was updated or added and if any parts of the original code were kept or removed. This will help us identify if there’s anything in the update that could be affecting how the email is being sent.

After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.
