Set up a Workflow with two approvers

I'm attempting to setup a form for people to fill out and then an admin will go in and approve/deny the form. I am needing to record the admin and if they approved/denied the form, all in a Google sheet (which is already setup and integrated). How can I go about doing this? The workflow is, Form is submitted -> admin approves/denies -> second admin approves/denies -> email is sent to requestor saying whether the form has been denied.

    Hi Colby,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Let me walk you through setting up the Workflow to meet what you want to achieve:

    1. In Form Builder, click on Settings in the orange navigation bar at the top part of the page.

    2. Select Workflows from the menu on the left, and click on the Create a Workflow button.

    3. In Workflow Builder, click on Add Element in the upper-left corner of the page, and select Approval under the Basic tab.

    4. Connect the Approval element to the Form element.

    5. Add another Approval element for the second admin, and connect the two Approval elements.

    6. Select their Outcome.

    7. Still from the Basic tab, select Email, and connect it to the second Approval element.

    8. Select Approve as the Outcome.

    11. Add another Email element for the Deny outcome, and modify the Email Content as well.

    12. Under the Basic tab, select End, and connect it to the part of the flow where you want it to end.

That's it. As for your question about the Google Sheet integration, did you mean that you want to include the Approval report in the data to be sent to the sheet? If so, this feature is currently not possible in Jotform, as our integration is triggered by the Submit button alone. Thus, when a submission is approved or denied, it will not update or record the status in the Google Sheet. If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

I was looking to record the approver after the button has already been submitted, yes. Is there any intention of adding this feature in the future? It doesn't particularly make sense to me that this feature wouldn't exist to allow workflows to organize and record data. In a situation where we only have a limited number of licenses, we can't give everyone an account to Jotform, so having our data be reported to Google Sheets makes it easier for us to allow admin to keep records of any forms they have approved/denied.

    Hi Colby,

To avoid confusion, I moved your other question to a new thread and helped you with that here.
