I am using dynamic drop down to have volunteers sign in at our non-profit. I am using that dynamic drop down so that they can pick their name and their email pops up. How do i use that email address then to send them a copy of their submission?
I have used conditional logic to copy that into the email address element however it brings over the name and the email address. (Kathleen Pisors kathleenpisors@gmail.com) how do I only copy the email over to the email element?
Thank you
Kathleen Pisors

Hi Kathleen,
Thanks for reaching out to JotForm Support. Unfortunately, the Dynamic Dropdown widgets counts as one element, so it's not possible to conditionally pass one of the Dropdown's value to another field. You can use the regular Dropdown Element instead and set the Email Addresses as Calculation values so you can conditionally pass them to your Email Field. Let me show you how it's done:
- In Form Builder, click on Add Element button on the top-left.
- Under the Basic tab, select Dropdown.
- Click on the created Dropdown and add your preferred Options.
- Click on the Gear Icon to open its Properties and select the Options tab.
- Enable Calculation Values and set the Email Address you want to assign to each Option.
- Still in Form Builder, click on Settings in the orange navigation bar at the top.
- Select Conditions and click on Add Conditions.
- Select Update/Calculate Field and set the condition like this: IF Name is Filled, COPY Field Value to Email field.
That's it. Here's a close-up view of the condition for your reference:
And here's how it works afterward:

Let us know if you need any more help.
