Hello,
We are somehow exceeding our limit of 10,000 API calls a day because have Jotform linked to multiple Power BI files. We are now using multiple API keys, one for each dashboard to limit the load of calls on one API key. Is there a maximum number of Keys that can be created per Jotform account?
Thanks for the help.

Hi SILC,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform support. There is no specific limit on the number of API keys you can generate. However, each subscription plan has its own daily API call limit that resets daily at midnight (EST). Here’s a summary of the daily API call limits based on your plan:
- Starter (Free): 1,000 requests per day
- Bronze: 10,000 requests per day
- Silver: 50,000 requests per day
- Gold: 100,000 requests per day
- Enterprise: Unlimited
Since you mentioned that you are exceeding the 10,000 API calls a day limit, you might consider optimizing your API usage or upgrading your plan to Enterprise. You can manage your API keys on your Account API page.
For further guidance on creating API keys, you can refer to our detailed guide on How to Create Jotform API Keys.

Thanks Joseph. Can you define what exactly a call entails? I.E., if we are pulling data through an API into Power Query, what is the max number of rows we can pull say with the Gold Status of 100,000 request per day? Currently I think the API call is at its maximum pull threshold.

Hi SILC,
The API records usage each time you call any of the endpoints listed on our Jotform API page. However, queries that include filters or conditions on a single endpoint are only counted as one call per request. If you're calling the endpoint individually for each row, this will result in multiple counts. To optimize usage, we recommend batching your requests whenever possible.
