i have gone through tutorials and AI support. I’m trying to set up short-answer questions that when feedback is give to user, they see only “ your answer is correct” or “sorry, try again” for each question.
Can I set up a zoom with a person who can share their screen to model setting up one question like this?

Hi theorderofthedead,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, we don't provide call support. To display a message according to the answer provided, you might want to use Conditonal logics to show/hide fields. This is easy to do, let me show you how to do it with a short example:
- In Form Builder, add two Paragraphs fields for the messages to be displayed, and for each Paragraph field, click on the Gear icon.
- In the right panel, go to the Advanced tab.
- And switch Hide Fields to On.
- Then, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.
- In the left panel, select Conditions.
- And choose Show/Hide field.
- And set the following condition to show the Paragraph field related to the answer when the field is filled, and click on Save. Not that the All statement is required in the blue section to make the And logic function.
- Repeat these two last steps for the second condition to show the other Paragraph field for the other answers using, for instance, the Not Equal To statement, so that you have two conditions, as below.
The first condition being the following:
As a result, we get:
Give it a try and let us know how it's going.

theorderofthedeadReplied on April 6, 2025 at 7:05 PMSorry, I am a complete novice in this field, which is why I was hoping for a Zoom model. Would you be able to provide screenshots (like you did before), using this specific example, below? If I can get it once, I can get the rest I think. (Basic Element: short text) Question 1. In the story, where did Billy go?(The correct answer is): He went to the storeIn this answer, looking to have capitalization not matter, and the user will know they don’t need punctuation. Just correct spelling and spacing is all they need to get. IF the user answers “he went to the store”“Correct!”IF user does not answer with those exact words, spelling, spacing:“Sorry, try again.”On Apr 6, 2025, at 11:56 AM, Jotform <noreply@jotform.com> wrote:

Hi theorderofthedead,
This is the same as my colleague Frédéric guide, but I only change it with want you wanted to the field and to show if it's correct or try again. This will still use the short text field and two paragraph field. Let me show you how:
1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar, click on Settings.
2. Hover your mouse to the left side of the screen and click on Conditions.
3. On Show/Hide Field, click on the Forward Arrow icon.4. Copy this conditional logic and click on Save.
Here is a preview of the cloned form. As long as it's the correct spelling, it will give the correct answer. You can clone and test my cloned form.
I answered your other question on a new thread. You can go ahead and check that out here.
Give it a try and reach out again if you have any other questions.
