Replace Short Text fields with Number fields

Change all 'Number Elements' to 'Short Text'? withoung deleteng element because the data will be deleted.

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. You did the recommended thing, which is to hide them instead of deleting them. Currently, there's no quicker way to replace them with a Number field, other than manually adding the Number fields to your form. Here's how to do that:

1. In Form Builder, click on Add Element in the upper-left corner of the page.
2. Under the Basic tab, select Number. You can drag and drop it to the desired position.
3. Add the field label, and click on its Gear icon to open the Properties panel.
4. Under the General tab, toggle Required to On.

is there a way from you to directly change the element?

At the present, there is no possible way to directly change the element. You'll need to add and remove the element you would like to change.
