Jotform Sign: Delete signed documents

We don't need them on this platform after a while. How do I delete them?

However, If I delete the form itself, does this delete all the forms that were signed as a n alternative?

    Hi Jen,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. For Sign Documents, if you delete the form, it will send a cancel notification email to the signers. What you can do instead is archive the submissions. This way, signers won't get a cancel notification to their signed documents. Here's how to do that:

    1. On the Tables page, hover your mouse over the entry and click on the Three Dots icon.
    2. Click on Archive Entry, and that's it.

    Hi,

I would consider this to be an inadequate solution.

The reason I would like to delete submissions is for data security - once the form is signed and I have downloaded a copy to store locally, I gain no benefit from Jotform continuing to host a version of that file. I'm looking to minimise the risk of my clients' personal data being exposed should a data breach occur, and the chance of that happening to Jotform is not zero.

Could you please implement the ability to permanently delete signed forms?

    Thanks

    Hi Jen,

I understand your concern regarding data security and the need to permanently delete signed forms. Items in the Trash folder, in general, get deleted automatically after 30 days. As for the Jotform Sign document, I'm afraid it's not currently possible to manually purge them. While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available, rest assured we’re always working to add new services and features to Jotform.

I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developers. When or if it's implemented depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

In the meantime, let us know if you have any more questions.
