Hi Jotform Support team,
I hope you can help me set up a Zap using Jotform and Xero.
I run a small CV writing business, and I’ve created a new Jotform to collect client information and payments: https://form.jotform.com/241686981827877.
My goal is to automatically create and send an invoice in Xero whenever someone submits the form. The form includes a Product List element, which lets clients select the CV package they want and pay online. I want the product(s) selected in that list to appear correctly as line items in the Xero invoice.
So far, I’ve connected the form to Zapier and selected the trigger (New Submission), but I'm running into trouble mapping the Product List details to Xero’s line items in the "Create Sales Invoice" action. The field data seems bundled together rather than as structured items, which is making it hard to send over properly.
Could you please advise how I can:
- Extract or structure the Product List choices in a way that Zapier can use for Xero invoice line items.
- Ensure the right amounts, descriptions, and quantities come through correctly.
- Send the invoice to the email address submitted via the form.
Thanks so much in advance – I really appreciate your help.
Best regards,
Sarah Wrightson

Hi Sarah,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Since the Product List is considered one field, its data is on one cell. Unfortunately, there's no option to put the data into separate columns. We don't provide custom form creation or designing services, but you're welcome to work with a third party who may be able to help you. You can check out our Jotform Solutions Partner Directory for a list of consultants who've asked to be included.
You can get in touch with the right Solutions Partner for you by sorting them by location, type of service, industry, language support, or partner tier. Just fill out the contact form for the Jotform partner you'd like to work with, so they can make the necessary preparations to help you.
Keep in mind, though, that these parties operate independently of Jotform, so we assume no responsibility or liability for their work or their actions. You can also check this guide.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
