Set notification on app when a form is assigned to the user

Also, I tested prefilling an form and pushing it through to our test client. Is there a way to set up a notification in the profile icon at the top so when the client goes to our app they see that we have asked them to fill out a form?

Unfortunately, it's currently not possible to set up a notification in the profile icon when a form is assigned to a user to be filled out.

While the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
