How does Approve and Sign workflow work?

The form has a sign and approve function. Once the form is signed, does the assigned person approve it and then go back and complete it or can both actions be completed simultaneously?

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. If you're referring to the Approve and Sign element of the Workflow, it will have to take an approval action and sign it simultaneously to complete the approval.

But based on the screenshot you shared, it seems that you're only using a regular approval element through your Workflow. Can you explain a bit more about your question, so I can help you better? Are you wanting to let the approver sign on the form as well before the approval action? Can you also confirm if you're referring to this form?

Sure, you can do this using the Approval Flow. I checked your form and can see that you've already created one. We'll just need to modify a few things to achieve your workflow. Let me show you how:

1. In Approval flow, click +Add Element button on the left side.
   
   
2. Drag and drop Approve & Sign element in the Add Element box.
3. Add two END point elements.
4. Select the outcome (Approve/Deny) link for both End point.

For the Approve & Sign workflow:

1. Click on the gear icon to open Approve & Sign properties panel.
2. Check outcome option for Require signature for:. You can select one or both outcome.
3. Add the email address of the Signers.

The Signer will receive the Notification Email and a signature will be required to complete the approval workflow. Check out the screencast below of the results:
