Everything I do, I cannot get Paypal to work. I am beyond frustrated!!@!!!!!. My Paypal account is fine, the integration says its fine, but when I go to test it, it gives me some shit error "You are logging into the account of the seller for this purchase. Please change your login information and try again.", every damn time!!!! What the hell am I doing incorrectly???? It was woreking perfectly last week, now I can't get it to work at all. Like I said, my account is working as it should and integration on Jotform says it is fine but it is definitely not.

Hi Todd,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. It seems that you are making a test submission to your form. The error "You are logging into the account of the seller for this purchase. Please change your login information and try again." is showing because you have integrated a PayPal account to the form, and processing your payment in the form using the same PayPal account. You cannot process a PayPal payment to the same integrated PayPal account, you can try processing a payment using a different PayPal account.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

How do I do that? I have attempted to change to a different account and I keep getting the same error.

Hi Todd,
I understand how frustrating this issue can be, especially since it was working just last week. Based on the error you're seeing, it looks like when you test the form, you're logging into the same PayPal account that’s connected as the seller in the form's integration. Unfortunately, PayPal does not allow you to make a payment to yourself during checkout.
To fully test the integration, you’ll need to:
- Use a different PayPal account one that is not connected to your Jotform.
- Make sure you are completely logged out of your seller PayPal account before you test.
- Alternatively, test using a guest checkout or a different browser or incognito/private window to avoid auto-login to your seller account.
If you’ve already created another PayPal account and it’s still showing the same message, it may be that your browser is auto-logging you into the seller account. Here’s how you can avoid that:
- Open your form in an incognito window or another browser.
- When the PayPal window pops up, log in using the buyer's PayPal account, not the seller's one.
- If PayPal still logs you in automatically, try to clear your browser cache and cookies to see if the issue no longer replicates where you’ve never logged into the seller account.
If the issue persists, can you share the form URL that you are working on so we can check further? You can easily find your form's URL in Form Builder. Let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Publish.
- In the Quick Share tab, click on Copy Link in the Share With Link section.
Once you share the form URL with us, we’ll be able to help you better with this.
