Hi
I'm having a condition that hides a page based on an answer the user previously filled.
When that user downloads his answers, the section of that page still shows in the PDF output.
Your assistant says that there are options to correct this, but everything that was proposed didn't work.
I've seen a post from 2022 that says that hidden pages based on users answers will still show in the PDF. I would assume that this has been corrected because what is the point of hiding pages manually and getting an output that is not relevant for the user?
Thank you

Hi devprof,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I cloned your form and tested it to see if I could replicate the issue, but everything was working properly. Check out the screencast below to see my results:

Hi Ronald,
We activated the PDF as a download option on the thank you page.
What you are showing in the video isn't what isn't working. I was referring to hidden pages, not questions that haven't been answered.
Specifically page 3, which will be hidden to the user if those questions aren't relevant for them.
Thank you

Hi devprof,
If you can take a screenshot of what’s happening, that'll help us to understand better what’s going on. Let me show you how to post a screenshot to our Help Center:
1. On the Help Center page, scroll down to the Your Answer section and click on the Image icon.
2. Drag and drop your image into the Upload box, or click on it and select your file.
3. Then, click on the Add button in the bottom-right corner of the window.
4. To resize it, click on your screenshot and then click on one of the boxes in the corners, and drag it inward.
5. Once you're finished, click on the Post Answer button at the bottom right of the Your Answer section.
Meanwhile, you can also share a video recording on any public sharing platform like Google Drive or Dropbox, or you can simply use Loom to record the video and share the video link with us. Also,
That's it. Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

This is the first part of the Page 3 information. There's a mix of questions, headers and paragraph in it
As you can see here
In the PDF output, even if I hide the page, there's still information from Page 3 that will show in the PDF as you can see here

Same goes for field used for calculation or hidden field . At least the hidden field I can always go into the PDF editor and remove them manually as they should never show into the user results.

Hi devprof,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I understand that hidden pages are still showing in the PDF output when users download their answers, despite conditions set to hide those pages based on user input. I'll address your concern regarding hidden pages in the PDF output. Here's some information that may be helpful:
1. To control what users see and interact with on your forms, you can use the Hide Form Fields feature. This allows you to include fields that operate invisibly without being shown to the form user.
2. You can hide form elements directly from their context menu or field properties within the Form Builder, or even hide several at once.
3. To hide individual fields using their context menu:
- In Form Builder, right-click on a field to show its Context Menu.
- Then, select Hide in the menu.
4. To hide form elements through their Properties:
- While in Form Builder, select a field you want to hide and click on the Gear icon to its right to open its Properties.
- Next, go to the Advanced tab.
- Scroll to the Hide Field property and toggle it to the On position.
5. To hide multiple fields at once:
- In Form Builder, click on fields while holding the CTRL key (Command ? for Mac) to select more fields without deselecting the ones you’ve already selected.
- Once the fields are selected, click the Hide button in the toolbar at the top to hide them.
6. Keep in mind that hidden form fields would still appear in form email notifications and autoresponders. If you want hidden field values excluded from email alerts, you can edit the content of your form emails and manually remove them.
Reach out again if you have any other questions.

Thank you for that, but this is exactly the answer I got from your AI support. None of those solutions work. Are you taking the time to read my question because none of them are specific to hidden pages showing into the PDF output
In the PDF builder, I can remove the section manually, but that doesn't cut it, as depending on the user, he might answer questions from that page based on the condition I've provided in this thread.
There's no trigger or option for Headers and paragraphs, nor that you could show/hide them base on a condition or using a condition
I'll try to explain my problem in the simplest way possible
- I have a survey where, depending on the user's answer, he may or may not have to fill information from a specific page.
- If he doesn't need to fill the information, a condition to hide that entire page from the user i trigger and the user has no idea that this page even exist
- The user that filled the form, skipping that hidden page, has the option to download his answer in a PDF
- The PDF form already has the option to hide blank answers
- In the PDF output, the user won't see the questions that hasn't been answered but will see headers and paragraphs that are there to help the user to fill the survey.
Regarding this, none of the solutions or options proposed in this post answered my original question.
Thank you

Hi devprof,
You can generate multiple versions of your Submission PDF based on your conditions, ensuring that the Headers and Paragraph fields are exclusive to each template, as hiding them dynamically is not yet supported. The new PDF file will include all the fields on the current form automatically, you can remove the unwanted fields or add more to the template. It's easy to set up. Let's do it:
- While in PDF Editor, in the blue navigation bar at the top, click on the New PDF button.
- In the windows that opens, choose a layout.
- Select the field and choose the Trash icon to remove them.
- Click on the Add Element menu on the left side of the page, then select the Form Fields you want to add your PDF document.
- While in Form Builder, click on the Add Element menu on the left side of the page.
- Under the Basic tab, scroll down the list and choose the Email field.
- Now, just drag and drop it to your form.
Attaching your submissions as PDF files to your Autoresponder Emails is easy. Let me walk you through it:
- In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on the Settings tab.
- Under Emails tab, click Add Email and choose Autoresponder Email.
- Go to Advanced tab, toggle Attach PDF to the On position, and select the PDF file you created.
- Now, scroll down, click on Save, and you're done.
1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on the Settings.
2. In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Conditions, and then click on Add Condition, then select Change Email Recipient.
3. Set up the conditions as you see below and click on Save:
You can create multiple PDF and their corresponding Autoresponder email. Check out our Setting Up Autoresponder Emails guide to learn how to create them. You can also check out our guide explaining How to Send Emails Based on a User's Answer.
Give it a try and let us know if you have any other questions.
