    Hey,

I am trying to use authorize.net on our forms just to save credit card information for our cancellation policy. I don't want to sell products or subscriptions. When I select user defined amount or collect donations (which is what the chat support recommends) it would allow our patient to select own amount which we don't want. Is there a way to just show a selected amount of $100 and just save the card for authorize only? I have reached out to authorize.net and they don't seem to think this is any problem on their end. I have looked into other payment services and neither square, stripe, Braintree or pay pal will allow this service. Or we can have no amount listed and just the credit card field if that is an option.

    Hi Nicole,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Due to our PCI certification, we are required to deny the collection of credit card details on regular forms. However, we have other PCI-compliant ways to do this. All you need to do is choose any of the payment processors available in our platform to integrate into your forms. You still won't be able to collect credit card details directly, though.

I checked your form and found that you have already set up the form as User Defined Amount. This option allows the user's to add any amount they want, but if you want to give the user an option to select a fix amount payment then you can use the Sell Products and create a product with a fixed price. You can easily charge your customers at a later date. You'll be provided with a Charge Now button that you can use to charge the customer at any time. Let me show you how to set it up:

    1. Open your form in Form Builder and hover your mouse over and then click on the Products List element.
    2. On the right side of the element, click on the Wand icon.
    3. In the window that opens, click on the Gear icon in the top-right corner.
    4. Now, click on Additional Gateway Settings, and toggle Charge Customer Immediately to the Off position.

Now, let me show you how to charge your customers at a later date:

    1. With your form open in Form Builder, click on the Form Builder tab on the upper-left corner of the screen, and then click on Tables to view your submissions.
    2. In the window that opens, find the submission you're looking for and click on Charge Now in the row next to it.
    3. Then, in the pop-up window that opens, click on Charge Now to confirm that you want to charge it. That's it.

Once a payment is received, the button will change from Charge Now to Charged.
