Hello! We currently have one of our forms set up to prompt them to complete a second form. We noticed that all of the info from the second form doesn't always carry over into our CRM through the integration, especially when they opt to complete the second form at a later time. Is there a way to ensure that this information feeds to the same deal record in our CRM? It currently creates a duplicate.

Hi Sanitas_skincare,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I understand that you are facing an issue with ensuring that information from the second form carries over into your CRM without creating duplicates when users complete the second form at a later time. To effectively manage this situation, you can utilize the Salesforce integration with Jotform, which allows you to handle duplicates efficiently. Here’s how it works:
- When a user submits your form, Jotform sends the data to Salesforce.
- If Salesforce detects a duplicate entry based on its standard matching rules, it will notify Jotform of the duplicate.
- To manage this, you can enable the “Update an existing record” option in your integration settings. This allows Jotform to find the original record using specific parameters such as Full Name and Email.
- If a match is found, Jotform will update the existing record with the new values instead of creating a duplicate.
Make sure your form includes the necessary fields that correspond to the Salesforce fields for this to work effectively. This setup will help maintain data consistency and minimize redundancy across your database.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
