Hi Jotform Support,
On one of our forms, we have a dropdown field with calculation values. We use the calculation values to determine the total amount for another field on the form. We have integrated this form with Salesforce and when mapping the dropdown field, the calculation value is sent to Salesforce, is there a way to have the option sent instead (like it is displayed in the Jotform Submission Table), as the calculation value is not relevant to Salesforce (screenshots attached).
Cheers

Hello IMMT,
Thank you for reaching out to Jotform Support. If I understood it correctly, you want to map options and not the calculation values for this field:
If so, I’ll need a bit of time to look into this. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
Thanks for your patience, we appreciate it.

Hello IMMT,
When I cloned and tested your form and tried using the Single Choice Element with the Calculation Values instead of Dropdown, the selection date was mapped instead of the value:
You can test using a Single Choice Element instead of Dropdown if it will work with your integration. If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?
After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.

Hi Myla, that is correct, we would like to map the options of the dropdown list to Salesforce instead of the calculation values.
Using the single choice element with the calculation values does appear to work correctly but does not provide the UX we are looking for, is there a way to have this functionality with the dropdown field?

Hi IMMT,
Thanks for your patience. We’ve checked this, and while Jotform does not currently allow direct mapping of the dropdown option label instead of the calculation value, there is a workaround you can use.
You can achieve this by adding a hidden Short Text field to your form and using conditional logic to populate it with the dropdown option label. After adding a Short Text field to your form and set it as hidden, use conditional logic to update the Short Text field based on the dropdown selection. Take a look at the screenshot below to see example condition.
And then, Map the Short Text field to the appropriate Salesforce field instead of the dropdown field.
Give it a try and reach out again if you have any other questions.
