Driving Distance Calculator - Request Denied

    Hi there,

    Having problem with the driving distance calculator
    Invalid result (error: REQUEST_DENIED)

    I do have a google cloud project

    I do have a cloud billing account and it is linked to the project.


    I tried with and without any restrictions on the api keys. Same issue
    I tried enabling this :

    • Geocoding API
    • Geolocation API
    • Maps Embed API
    • Maps JavaScript API
    • Places API
    • Places API (New)
    • Routes API

    Still no success.

    Nothing in developper mode to track error message. Same on private window (incognito)

    Don't know what to do anymore.

    Hi Jean,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I cloned your form and tested it to see if I could replicate the issue, and I ran into the same issue. After checking the list of APIs you shared, I noticed that the Distance Matrix API isn’t included, which is required for this widget to work. Can you check if the Distance Matrix API is enabled on your Google Maps Platform? If not, you’ll need to enable it.

    Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    I knew you were going to say this.

    But distance matrix api is now considered Legacy and has been replaced by Routes Api which I have enabled already.

    Hi Jean,

    Since Distance API key is now deprecated, and Google is now recommending Routes API. I've escalated this to our Developers so they can further check the issue. Once we hear back from them, we'll circle back to you on this thread and let you know.
